I-K-6. FRANCES CHARLSIE BEESON (1869 – 1957), daughter of Mary Ann Frances Sibert3 (David2, John David1)

Frances Charlsie Beeson was born on 30 August 1869 in Keener, Etowah County, Alabama. [1][2][3, 31 August in Fairhope] She died on 12 July 1957, age 87, in Clifton, Bosque County, Texas and is buried in the McGregor Cemetery in McGregor, McLennan County, Texas. [2][3][4] She married Edwin "Eddie" T. Bruce on 12 August 1896 in Etowah County. [1][5] Edwin, the son of Dr. L.N. and Dora (Rutherford) Bruce, was born on 28 December 1871 in Bruceville, McLennan County. [3] He died on 26 December 1955 and is buried in the McGregor Cemetery. [2][3]

According to the census, in 1910 Edwin T, aged 36, and Fannie, aged 36, lived in McLennan County with their children Mary, aged 11; Nelson, aged nine; Ella, aged seven; and Edwin, aged seven months. Edwin was a station agent. He and Fannie had been married for 14 years. Fannie had had four children, and all were living. In 1920 Edwin, aged 46, and Fannie, aged 46, lived in Bruceville with their children Nelson, aged 19; Ella, aged 16; and Edwin, aged ten. Edwin was a merchant. In 1930 Edwin, aged 56, and Fannie, aged 57, lived in McLennan County with their son Edwin R., aged 20. Edwin (Sr.) sold life insurance. In 1950 Edwin, aged 73[!] and Fannie, aged 81[!], lived in McLennan County. [6]

According to his death certificate, Edwin was an insurance agent. [3]

According to her obituary, Fannie lived in Bruceville—a place named after her father-in-law—for over sixty years. She was surviced by her two daughters, Mrs. Olen Brown of Dallas and Mrs. J.W. Schepers of McGregor, and her two sons, W.N. Bruce of Dallas and E.R. Bruce of Goldthwaite. [4]

Children of Frances Charlsie Beeson and Edwin T. Bruce:

i. Mary Pearl Bruce was born on 31 July 1898. [1][2] She died on 12 May 1976 in Dallas. [2][3] She married Olen E. Brown. [1][2] Olen was the son of E.E. and Mary P. (Chaffie) Brown. [3] He was born on 19 August 1895 and died on 30 January 1962 in Dallas. [2][3] Olen and Mary are buried in the Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. [2]

Olen was a physician and Mary was a lab technician. [3] Olen was a soldier in World War I. [3]

ii. William Nelson Bruce was born on 16 January 1900 in Bruceville. [1][2][7] He died on 8 July 1992. [2] He married Martha Ann "Anna" Farrar. [1][2][7] She was born on 28 September 1900 in Royse City Texas. [2][7] She died on 12 November 1976. [2] William and Anna are buried in the Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. [2]

According to the census, in 1940 William, aged 39, and Anna, aged 39, lived in Dallas County with their Martha Ann, aged 14. William was a technician and owner of a medical lab. [6]

Children:

iii. Ella Beeson Bruce was born on 24 September 1902. [1][2] She died on 6 February 1997. [2] She married Joseph W. Schepers. [2] Joseph was the son of Joseph G. and Hester Ann (Robertson) Schepers. [3] He was born on 7 October 1892 in McGregor and died there on 8 August 1967. [2][3] Joseph and Ella are buried in the McGregor Cemetery. [2]

Joseph was an agent for the Santa Fe Railroad. [3]

iv. Edwin Rutherford Bruce was born on 31 August 1909. [1][2][3] He died on 16 December 1981 in Godthwaite, Mills County, Texas. [2][3] He married Yvonne Anderson. [2] She was born on 25 January 1920 and died on 3 April 2015. [2] Edwin and Yvonne are buried int he Goldthwaits Memorial Cemetery. [2]

Edwin was a railroad worker for the Santa Fe Railroad. [3]
